SportPesa League 2025/26 Most Valuable Player Enock Morrison has completed a free-transfer move from reigning league champions Gor Mahia to Sudanese giants Al Merrikh SC.
The Ghanaian midfield sensation has signed a three-year contract with Al Merrikh that will keep him at the club until 2029 after his deal with the Kenyan record champions expired.
His move was officially announced by Al Merrikh on Sunday, June 21 2026.
“Ghana Black Stars midfielder Enock Morrison is a new soldier in the leader’s battalion until 2029, arriving from Kenyan club Gor Mahia FC.
Welcome, Morrison, to the most decorated club in Sudan. Leave your mark, as all champions have passed through here,” read a statement released by Al Merrikh on Sunday morning.
Enock Morrison leaves Gor Mahia for Sudanese giants Al Merrikh
The 26-year-old joined Gor Mahia in 2024 from Asante Kotoko and quickly established himself as a key figure under Charles Akonnor.
During his two seasons with Gor, Morrison has left having achieved remarkable success.
In his debut season, Gor Mahia ended the 2024/25 campaign empty-handed, before he helped K’Ogalo bounce back and reclaim the crown for a record 22nd time.
Apart from lifting the league crown, Morrison capped off the SportPesa League season with an outstanding campaign that saw him named Player of the Season as well as Midfielder of the Season during the SportPesa League Gala Night earlier this month.

Morrison featured in 31 SportPesa League matches last season, missing a handful through suspension.
However, whenever he stepped onto the pitch, he was a joy to watch, scoring three goals and providing four assists while creating more than 20 chances throughout the campaign.
Beyond his attacking contributions, Morrison won over 60 duels and made numerous crucial tackles for his side.
His impressive displays earned him 15 Man of the Match awards, around nine Team of the Week selections, three Player of the Month nominations, and three Team of the Month appearances.
Morrison’s departure is a significant blow to Gor Mahia at a crucial stage as they seek to strengthen their squad ahead of their participation in the 2026/27 CAF Champions League.
His exit leaves the club with the difficult task of finding a suitable replacement for the influential midfielder, who now joins the Sudanese powerhouse and former CAF Champions League winners.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
