Kenyan stars confirmed for the 2025 Rabat Diamond League

• The 2025 Rabat Diamond League will be staged in Morocco on Saturday, May 25.

Several Kenyan superstars will be in action in the 2025 Rabat Diamond League on Saturday, May 25, 2025 in Morocco.

The organizers of the 2025 Rabat Diamond League have assembled a deep field ahead of the event that is scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 25.

From Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo to Dutch sensation Femke Bol, athletics fans are in for a treat in the 2025 Rabat Diamond League.

Besides these global stars, several Kenyan big names including double Olympic Games champion Beatrice Chebet will also compete in the 2025 Rabat Diamond League.

Some of the other Kenyan athletes who are set to ignite the track and field event include Emmanuel Wanyonyi and the current African 100m record holder Ferdinand Omanyala.

Chebet, who is yet to taste defeat season, is one of the favorite runners to shine in the 3000m women’s discipline.

The amazing athlete heads to Rabat on the back of a convincing 5000m victory in the recently held Xiamen Diamond League.

In Xiamen, Chebet waited until the final lap before producing a killer kick that ensured she won the prestigious title ahead of her East African rival Gudaf Tsegay.

The 2025 Rabat Diamond League will be Chebet’s second high-profile track race of this year’s congested season.

After the Rabat Diamond League, the 10000m world record holder will set her sights on the Prefontaine Classic where she will square out with a strong field that has the likes of Tsegay and the high-flying Medina Eisa.

As for the electric Wanyonyi, the 2025 Rabat Diamond League will be his first meeting of the season.

Wanyonyi, who shone at the Kingston Grand Slam Track in Jamaica a few weeks ago, will compete in the 800m race.

The 20-year-old will be hoping to start his Diamond League campaign on a high as he continues with his preparations for the upcoming World Athletics Championships.

Finally, Omanyala heads to the 2025 Rabat Diamond League with increased confidence after clinching the 150m title at the Adidas Atlanta City Games last weekend.

The Friends School Kamusinga alumni, who is expected to race in the 100m category, shocked many of his fans when he obliterated the 150m African record. 

Therefore, most of his supporters are expecting a monumental performance from him in the 2025 Rabat Diamond League.
