Ethan Nwaneri is in the final stages of talks for a loan move to join French side Marseille for the rest of the season. 

The Arsenal attacker has impressed under Mikel Arteta since being promoted from the youth teams last year. He’s made a total of 51 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 10 goals, and providing two assists.

Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the move on Tuesday morning: “Ethan Nwaneri has accepted to join Olympique Marseille! Arsenal also believe it’s the best solution on loan. Arteta also spoke with Roberto de Zerbi and OM seen as ideal solution. Straight loan deal at final stages, no buy option clause – expected to be agreed soon.”

Nwaneri has struggled to get into the team this year with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, and Eberechi Eze taking his place, so a loan move will help him get some much needed experience.
