Arsenal vs Man City Again? Opta Supercomputer Predicts Premier League Title Battle

Posted on 16 December 2025

Opta’s Supercomputer has predicted Arsenal to beat Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

The Gunners beat Wolves 2-1 over the weekend, as they just managed to scrape past the struggling Midlands-based side. Arsenal will now hope to win again in their next game against Everton over the weekend.

They are two points ahead of Man City in the title race, with the Cityzens beating Crystal Palace 3-0 at the weekend. Pep Guardiola’s side will certainly look to challenge Arsenal, but as things stand, the Gunners remain the favourites.

Opta Analyst’s supercomputer has produced a fresh simulation of what the Premier League table will look like at the end of the season, and this is what it says…

Arsenal predicted to beat Manchester City in the title race

  1. Arsenal – 80.59 predicted points
  2. Manchester City – 74.41 predicted points

  5. Chelsea – 62.56 predicted points
  6. Crystal Palace – 59.96 predicted points
  7. Manchester United – 57.68 predicted points
  8. Newcastle United – 56.06 predicted points
  9. Brighton – 55.77 predicted points
  10. Everton – 52.67 predicted points
  11. Tottenham Hotspur – 52.64 predicted points
  12. Brentford – 50.34 predicted points
  13. Bournemouth – 49.84 predicted points
  14. Sunderland – 49.66 predicted points
  15. Fulham – 46.69 predicted points
  16. Nottingham Forest – 43.16 predicted points
  17. Leeds United – 38.31 predicted points
  18. West Ham – 37.16 predicted points
  19. Burnley – 30.32 predicted points
  20. Wolves – 20.60 predicted points

Could Aston Villa challenge the Gunners?

As things stand, everyone is talking about Arsenal vs Manchester City for the league title, but Aston Villa should get some credit too. They beat the Gunners last week, and are on an incredible six-game winning streak, and have lost just one of their last 11 games.

Villa beat West Ham 3-2 over the weekend, thanks to another stellar performance from Morgan Rogers, the Gunners should certainly be wary of Unai Emery’s side in the title race. It is also worth considering that Arsenal play against Villa again before the New Year – it could be a hugely important game in the title race.
