Arsenal Should Swoop In To Sign £40m PL Star Ahead Of Liverpool, Newcastle And More

Arsenal should make a move to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, who is available to sign this summer for £40m. 

The Gunners have had a superb transfer window so far this summer, signing the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi and more. Arsenal fans are optimistic ahead of the new season starting at the weekend.

Man United will play host to Mikel Arteta’s side for the first game of the season on Sunday, and the Gunners will hope to get off to the perfect start. However, before the end of the transfer window, Arsenal will hope that they can add even more talent to give them the best chance of winning the Premier League title.

In defence, Arsenal have already added centre-back Cristhian Mosquera, but they could do with more depth considering that there have been reports suggesting that Real Madrid want to sign William Saliba before he signs a new contract at the Emirates.

Arsenal should sign Guehi

Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi is expected to leave Selhurst Park this summer, and the England international has generated interest from several Premier League clubs including Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle and Chelsea.

According to the Guardian, Crystal Palace are keen to sell Guehi this summer, as he has just one year left on his contract. They want to cash in on him this year to avoid him leaving for free next year when his deal expires.

The report says that Palace have set a £40m price tag for Guehi. Arsenal should move to sign him in order to, one provide cover for Gabriel and Saliba, but also in case Saliba decides that he wants to join Real Madrid instead.

It is understood that Liverpool are currently the front-runners to sign Guehi, so Arsenal should swoop in front of their title rivals, and sign Guehi, to both increase their title chances, and also damage Liverpool’s.
