Arsenal got their Premier League campaign off to a winning start against Manchester United last weekend.

It wasn’t the perfect display by any means but Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will be glad that his team came away from Old Trafford with the three points.

Attention now turns towards the first home league fixture of the campaign, with Arteta’s men facing Leeds at the Emirates on Saturday evening.

The newly-promoted club got their season off to a good start by beating Everton, so they will be in high spirits coming down to London.

However, some players could be missing this weekend due to injury problems. Let’s look at who could be sidelined for both teams.

Leeds United injury news

Ethan Ampadu picked up an ankle injury on Monday night, but head coach Daniel Farke has played down the seriousness of the issue.

The German claims that Ampadu only suffered bruising rather than anything more serious.

Leeds have one other player who has been carrying an injury. Summer signing Sebastiaan Bornauw was only on the substitutes bench for the Everton match due to a calf problem. It remains to be seen whether he will be fit enough to start versus Arsenal.

Kai Havertz has suffered a knee injury which will keep him out for an unspecified period of time. The fact that the Gunners are already looking for a potential replacement suggests they believe it is serious.

Christian Norgaard could be in the matchday squad this weekend. The Dane missed the trip to Manchester with a knock.

Gabriel Jesus is not expected to return to full fitness any time soon. The Brazilian international suffered an ACL injury back in January and he is still undergoing rehabilitation ahead of his comeback.
